Hello!
I know it's prolly easy, but i must've botched it somewhere.

How do I set my Gentoo box's hostname?
Like so i could 'ping BLAH' and get it, etc.

THanks!
-Matt

hostname yourhostname
or edit /etc/hostname. Then, in /etc/hosts, add an entry similar to this:
Code:
127.0.0.1       localhost       yourhostname
