Hello,

I don't know how it's happened, but the program which generates the the minimised application buttons at the bottom of the screen doesn't start with gnome.

Does anyone know the name of the executable so I can re-start it? I've tried looking in /usr/bin, but nothing seems obvious.

Cheers.

D.

Hi there,

1. do you mean the "Notification Area"? You can add that to any gnome panel by doing a right click on the panel, then "add to panel", then "Notification area".

2. If you mean the "Window List", you can add that to a panel the same way as explained in 1.

If the whole bottom panel is missing, right click on the top panel and choose "New panel". Drag the new panel to the bottom and add the window list (and other things if you want) to it (see 2.)
