1. How come courier's maildrop doesn't support ldap? I find it stupid to have to emerge maildrop seperately, it comes from the same package! Now I will have to remember to emerge maildrop after courier everytime I update or it will be broken.
2. I am using postfix and maildrop authenticated against ldap and shadow. AUTHMODULELIST = "authshadow authldap" in courier's authdaemonrc. The local users can read and send mail fine. It tries the next on the list authldap and I can see it query ldap correctly but it says "Invalid user specified" everytime. If I switch the order, AUTHMODULELIST = "authldap authshadow", ldap users can read and send mail fine. However the problem is my local users exist in ldap as well and I cant use my email this way since its trying to read it with a different user that does not have privileges. How come it won't work the first way shadow, ldap? Why doesn't it fail over to the second auth?
3. Is it possible to use postfix to deliver locally to shadow and ldap users without maildrop? If so could someone explain in details because I sure can't get it working.
Thanks in advance.
