ok this is my first attempt at getting wine to work

I would like to get keynote working (very good outliner, keeping notes)
(have been using tuxcards but want cross OS compatability plus tuxcards still got bugs)
(and tree line is not as fleable for what I need)

I've emerged wine (latest ebuild)

used sidenet wine config

keynote installs
but crashes when run.

YES! I havent a clue what I'm doing :)
so consider this my first REAL attempt to undestand wine better

also how to setup a links so I can either wine keynotes, or even just keynotes

Please no RTFM
I'm more the see how to get ONE thing working and see how it was done THEN I can relate the manual to a working example.

For existing wine user, I RECOMMEND keynotes
For programmers out there, the SOURCE is available to port or improve for linux

Thanks for any help
Gentoo is theeeeeeeeee best (grin)

Keynote is now working
using app-emulation/wine-0.9.8-r1 (used to get wired graphic glitches befor and never tested window copy of knts)

was getting
External Exception 80000101 error when clicking on an old link
created using keynote in windows
(bug didnt seem to pop up if origiannly created in linux)

found http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3382

dloaded later version of riched20.dll from www.dlldump.com
but requested msls31.dll

now seems to be working (but still testing :)

EXCELLLLLLLLLENTTTTTTTT :)

Tuxcards used to be my prefered note taker (but had search problems and things)

treeline was good as a database (but was too restrictive)

Keynotes is THE app for notes :D
