Gah, I don't get it. I wouldn't want KDE cept k3b needs it.

Seriously, anyone have a clue why it won't compile? I've tried different flags and everything.

Now I'm getting desperate, is there a KDE-bin I can install instead of compile?

Not much help submitting a bug. I've tried:
Code:
emerge --depclean

then
Code:
emerge -uDp world

And still fails at kdelibs. Also tried re-emerging qt, no help there either. I checked and I have the latest version of GCC. I'm using the safe C-flags listed on Gentoo-wiki.

Hrm... doing some extensive googling it may have something to do with my make flags. I'm going to try taking the ssl flag off and see if that's it.

*EDIT*

Took every flag off, tried dummying the flags all the way down to a standard Athlon, and tried upgrading to 3.4.2, nothing helped yet.

*EDIT*

Dummied the flags down to an i386... wouldn't compile at all.

Upgraded to gcc version 3.3.6:

Code:
gentoo ~ # gcc -v
Reading specs from /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-linux-gnu/3.3.6/specs

Thread model: posix
gcc version 3.3.6 (Gentoo 3.3.6, ssp-3.3.6-1.0, pie-8.7.8)

Interesting concept. Entirely possible. I've reformatted my machine and it compiles fine now. Maybe I'll install the printer and see if it breaks the system.

Hi,

I have the same problem, and have a sch4x16 samsung driver installed. Bigun89, did you tested if installing breaks your system?

I have tested the last solution from David Chanial in

https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106672

and this doesn't fix for me.

Thanks

Not yet... to be honest, I'm kinda scared to. Even if it does break the system... do we really expect Samsung to do anything?

I will try when I get home. If I remember correctly installing the driver was a pain in the *#%!

The problem was the samsung driver
I find a solution to the probleme

now what i do was
Code:

rm -f /usr/lib/libqt-mt.so.3
rm -f /usr/lib/libqt-mt.samsung-mfp.so.3.0.4
rm -f /usr/local/bin/samsung/libqt-mt.so.3.0.4
re-emerge qt

When you finish your update just reinstall the samsung driver

How about just stopping cups?

*EDIT*

Nope... going to attempt to move the file out of the way.

the probleme it's not with cups it use QT to now what the systeme is doing and is change link that use
qt to transfere the information.

I try first to uninstall the driver with the uninstaller package and it does'nt work the only way i find
is to remove those link and lib to the systeme.

After everyting works smoothly.

it will take a minute to reinstall the driver when it finish.
