The last line repeats forever. I don't know what it means, so I'm having some trouble figuring out what I can do about it. I've tried both of the netboot images being offered, and both do the same thing. I'm going to try replacing the drive, since it looks like it's maybe drive related, but if someone could point me in a more precise direction, I'd be grateful. |

You'll want the sparc64 netboot image for the ultra 2.
It looks like you may be having hard drive issues. Do you know that your current hardware setup is indeed good (particular the SCSI controller and/or the drive)? |

The error messages are under the sparc64 images (forgot to mention that, I guess). I don't actually know that the drives are any good. The computer did work with its original 4 GB drive, but that's really too small for gentoo, so I bought two 9 GB Compaq drives. The company said the drives were tested to be good, but that's not much of a guarantee. I don't know where my 4 GB drive is, since I just moved and everything is all over the place. I'll try to dig that up, and see if it works. Thanks for the help. |
