That simulated dino park game was addictive too. I might have to go get free dos and an old P3 and do some relivin' man. :D

All the games in this list sound amazing and I'm sure they are all easy to find online.

Played lots of them, and forget some names...
Here are a few I played: Doom 1&2, Wolfenstein 3D, Commander Keen part 1 till 6, Jill of the Jungle, Gapper, Lemmings, Stunts, Duke Nukem 2d series, Test Drive, Simcity(first one I think), Jazz Jackrabit, some winter sports game(3d), links(golf game), street racing game(you could tune your car, sell them, buy parts etc) and some other racing games.

Actually, the OMF team created a new version of OMF that's 3D and everything. VERY nice, except for the fact that it crashes all to hell on my box. I've never been able to figure out why... maybe graphics card overheating? Anyway, at the time they released the new OMF: Battlegrounds CD, they posted a download link to the old DOS OMF:2097, and not just some shareware file - the FULL EDITION. I can't find it on their news page anymore, but I know they officially released it as freeware, since that's when I got my full copy. 2002, 2003-ish.

Anyone play Stargunner? It's now freeware!

This site has made a new version 8)
You can also download version 1 & 2 from it.

I couldn't run this game with wine though(mouse was stuck in the center of the window).

Indeed it was great - but more like 1994/95 I think.

Just about everything from Epic was good - Jazz Jackrabbit, OMF and Tyrian really stand out. Oh, they also made some little game called "Unreal", but nobody's ever heard of that :D

Oh my god. Horrible question. Let's you think back and missing the times.

But anyway, definitely: Doom, Duke Nukem 3D (still remember the times when some shared that in school on 25 floppies  ), Lemmings, X-Com, Tie Fighter, Xenon 2, Prince of Persia, Civilization (can't even count the nights I spend on that) and so much more I can't think of right now.

Not to forget: Larry

The first civilization-like game : Colonization. In my heart, still the best turn-per-turn game, and it was created by Sid Meier of course :)
