I had my floppy drive listed under media:/, but it disappeared a while ago and I find it really annoying. I am using hal, dbus and ivman for quit some time now so I think this is a kde problem only. My fstab has floppy entery.
Any suggestions? |

I just upgraded from 2.6.11-r7 to 2.6.12-r4.
Before I upgraded the kernel hal/media ioslave would detect all devices (removable and non) in fstab and make an icon when they were available.
Now all but the floppy show up. (Same as above) |

Exacly the same thing happened to me, but I am using Gnome. Some problem between the new kernel and hal? |
