cpqarray fails with Compaq Smart Array

Hi!

I am having trouble getting 2005.0 livecd to work on a Proliant DL 380. The CD will boot (only with "acpi=off") but when loading the cpqarray module I get messages like

cpqarray ida0: idaSendPciCmd Timeout out, No command list address returned!
cpqarray: error sending ID controller

(in output of dmesg)

I cannot partition /dev/ida/c0d0 with fdisk because it states that it cannot use the device. Sorry, but I do not have the exact output.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
