After switching over from Windows quite a while back, the one thing I never have been able to get used to is the way *nix handles copy and paste. First, there are two different buffers, depending on if you select text with your mouse or if you actually press "ctrl-C" to copy something to the buffer. Next, not all applications seem to want to share a common set of buffers. (gtk vs. qt apps, for instance, vim for another) Finally, I would prefer that Gentoo use an explicit copy, rather than an implicit one. (meaning nothing gets copied to the buffer unless I tell it to)
Has anyone found a way to get Gentoo to copy and paste exactly like windows does? (one common buffer, explicit copy, etc.)
tx.
