Expansion / Connectivity

If you can give me any info it would help me out a lot.:D

It looks like the cpu is based on an ARM926 core and if it has an (enabled) MMU it could(?) boot a full kernel. uclinux could also run on it. The question is will the device be able to do something more than booting a kernel. specs anyone?
some links that may be usefull:
http://palmtelinux.sourceforge.net/
http://home.earthlink.net/~solovam/linux-on-clie/linux-on-clie.html the devices are quite different though.
http://focus.ti.com/docs/general/splashdsp.jhtml?&path=templatedata/cm/splashdsp/data/linux_com_portal

But IMO, if your friend wants to play arround with linux on a handheld, he should pickup an old ipaq or a psion, coz palm devices are nowhere near.
