When I installed the rpm-version of Trolltech's qtopiadesktop it wouldn't start and gave the error message 'error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3'.
Before I set up the system totally new, starting this application was no problem. I looked in /lib and /usr/lib, but there is no file beginning with libstdc++, just 'libc-2.3.1.so'.
What's the matter? |

The RPM is designed for a distro that has the libstdc++-libc-xyz symlink installed. The only thing you need to do is cd into /lib or /usr/lib whereever you found libc* and make the said symlink.
You would be better off compiling and just leaving it to run all night, than trying to make something work adhoc. |
