Anyone got a reliable process for getting a Voodoo3 with DRI to work?
I've emerged X (after getting proper glide headers from dri.sf.net when it was b0rking on the tdfx stuff), glide-v3, mesa, mesa-glu, all successfully. but UT runs at like 1 frame per second. Also, the output from glxinfo is wrong. I do have my X config loading the glx and dri modules, and I do have DRI set to 0666 for ownership in the config file.
Failing getting this to work, I will have to go back to Slack, where at least I could run a X336 server with mesa/glide2/glide3 for my games.... _________________ ---

I've got a voodoo3 card and have never had any 3d graphics working smoothly (even tuxracer).
I'm not quite sure what the problem is, but I'm pretty sure I (and you) don't have the right drivers for the card.
Since 3DFX is no longer with us, may they rest in peace, it me be troublesome to find the right drivers. I do remember in the past finding drivers somewhere online, but that was a while ago.
Good luck to you _________________ - Joseph Monti

Well, like I said, if I can't get it working, I'll just use the X 3.3.6 SVGA server ontop of my X 4.2 install with the "old" drivers - mesa, glide2x, glide3x. Worked fine in Slack, should do fine in Gentoo. _________________ ---
