|
|
I installed gentoo from the universal disk with kernel version 2.6.11r3. ndiswrapper worked great with my Linksys WUSB54Gv1. After upgrading to 2.6.12r4 though ndiswrapper -l still shows driver present, hardware present, when I do modprobe ndiswrapper it fails with soemthing about error -22.
Any idea what went wrong?
Thanks!
EDIT: Come to think of it, this is the same error I got with Fedora due to something about a 4k stack size in the kernel, does the new kernel for gentoo use a 4k stack size now two when you use genkernel? Is there a way to change this? |

when you modprobe ndiswrapper, it tries to load the kernel module, which you dont have installed for your new kernel - simply emerge ndiswrapper again and it will work |

Thanks, but I don't think that's the problem. The first time I didn't emerge ndiswrapper, I installed it from the sources manually and it worked. I did the exact same procedure with the new kernel and it didn't work. I did it this way because if ndiswrapper won't work, then I don't have the internet and you need the internet to emerge ndiswrapper as far as I can tell.. |
