I was recompiling the kernel and then i can't load the sound module (yes, i checked and it is supported) the message is this:

I rechecked the kernel and it is supported...i don't get it

Hi Matosale,
Of course you make modules modules_install and compile the sound module support. Do you get any error at the end of this process (such a depmod ... ) ? Do you use esd or alsa or arts ? (I personnaly use alsa and have no problem with it as long as I compile sound card support only as module in the kernel, alsa doesn't need the i8xx audio module of the kernel. )

What i did:
| Code: | | mv -f /lib/modules / /lib/modules.orig |
and recompile the whole kernel. Now i can modprobe sound, but no the bttv module

Did you make a make mrproper before recompiling the kernel ?

aber natürlich!!! ich habe es gemacht, jetzt habe ich sound...aber noch immer probleme mit bttv
