Hello All~
I reinstalled my Gentoo box this past week. I wanted to change the partition scheme, as well as clean up some cruft, so I just backed up relevant directories, and did a fresh install. (The previous install on this box was done back in early '03.)
I changed a couple of USE flags, most notably I added ntpl and ntplonly.
I was able to rebuild the system quickly and suffered minimal downtime. However, there is one package that refuses to build:
openoffice-1.1.4-r1
I've tried to build it a couple of times, but each time it keeps bailing out:
| Code: | Preprocessor commandline: -I. -I. -I. -I../inc -I../../inc -I../../unx/inc -I../../unxlngi4.pro/inc -I. -I/var/tmp/portage/openoffice-1.1.4-r1/work/solver/645/unxlngi4.pro/inc/stl -I/var/tmp/portage/openoffice-1.1.4-r1/work/solver/645/unxlngi4.pro/inc/external -I/var/tmp/portage/openoffice-1.1.4-r1/work/solver/645/unxlngi4.pro/inc -I/var/tmp/portage/openoffice-1.1.4-r1/work/solenv/unxlngi4/inc -I/var/tmp/portage/openoffice-1.1.4-r1/work/solenv/inc -I/var/tmp/portage/openoffice-1.1.4-r1/work/res -I/var/tmp/portage/openoffice-1.1.4-r1/work/solver/645/unxlngi4.pro/inc/stl -I/var/tmp/portage/openoffice-1.1.4-r1/work/solenv/inc/Xp31 -I/opt/sun-jdk-1.4.2.08/include -I/opt/sun-jdk-1.4.2.08/include/linux -I/opt/sun-jdk-1.4.2.08/include/native_threads/include -I/usr/include -I. -I../../res -I. -DUNX -DVCL -DGCC -DC300 -DSUPD=645 -DSOLAR_JAVA -DPRODUCT -DPRODUCT_FULL -DNDEBUG -DOSL_DEBUG_LEVEL=0 -DUPDVER="645" -DUPDVER="645" bastyp.src /var/tmp/portage/openoffice-1.1.4-r1/temp/fileG5P09t

I'll get that preprocessor and glibc error a couple of times (it will scroll by a couple of times before it chokes)...
The only thing I can think is that the ntpl version of glibc isn't playing nice? I don't know as I don't have ntpl enabled on any of my other gentoo boxes - and openoffice built fine on the rest - including this one before I rebuilt the system.
Searching the forums it appears that ntpl only has problems on older binary only packages... Anyone have any thoughts/feedback on this, or is a bug report in line?
Thanks!
