My card, ess maestro 3, is supported via the kernel driver. Do I also need ALSA support for my system to work properly? |

No, well I don't think you need it (i'm using alsa), only should use it if the kernel driver lacks some functionality that alsa can support. (I'm using it for my sblive and because I like the package )

Anyway I would recommend to use alsa. The 2.6 kernels will have it built in, so it's a good idea to use it from now on, so your apps will (hopefully) working with the 2.6 kernels in the future as well. _________________ Do you want your posessions identified? [ynq] (n) |
