When I build the latest Gentoo performance enhanced kernel, as well as the one from 2 weeks ago if it has been updated, the build fails unless I have support for multiple processors enabled. Weird. My motherboard currently has only one CPU in it, and I would like to be able to use advanced power management (which is disabled for SMP systems).
I get the following error:

from /usr/src/linux-2.4.19-gentoo-r5/include/linux/module.h:21,

Would anyone have an idea of how to fix this?
Thanks ahead of time
