|
|
Hi !
Well, i searched a bit over the web to see if my problem is normal but i couldn't find a reliable answer, so i'd like to know if IDE SCSI emulation does work on kernel 2.5.x because when i compile it (as modules) and pass "hdc=ide-scsi" (hdc is my cd-writer) the system crashes when it loads ide-scsi and scans for drives (i've scsi errors such as 'drive busy' or 'drive not ready') ...
I read on another topic that with kernel 2.5, and the lastest test version of cdrtools, cdrecord should be able to see my writer but actually it doesn't
Any idea ? |

ide-scsi is known to be broken with 2.5 kernels. Use 2.4 if you need to use it. It will be fixed when someone has time to do it. |

I have ide-scsi compiled into the kernel ( not as a module ) and it seems to boot with 2.5.59-mm7. Didn't try to burn anything yet though. _________________ package JAPH;sub x{$/='$';@1=map{$_=ord;$_--;chr}

1;$x=JAPH->x;for(1..25){print&$x,;}__DATA__

Don't know about ide-scsi emulation problems . I've been using 2.5 kernels and burning with cdrecord and cdbakeoven using ide_cd module for months now. Just made a link /dev/sg1 -> /dev/ide/host0/bus1/target0/lun0/cd. |
