|
|
I found this cool article on the gentoo wiki:
http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_From_Winamp_to_XMMS
Now theres no xmms-winamp in portage so i downloaded and unpacked the .tgz file and extracted it in my home directory. I have wine, but when I do ./configure in the xmms-winamp directory it gives me this:
Code: |
Looking for wine executable: /usr/bin/wine
Looking for WINE libraries: Looking for WINE include path: /usr/include/wine/windows
/usr/X11R6/include/wine/windows
Looking for winemine.exe.so: not found, assuming WINE version < 200207xx
not found
xmms-winamp configuration aborted
|
But check this out:
Code: |
bash-2.05b# slocate winemine
/usr/bin/winemine
/usr/lib32/wine/winemine.exe.so
|
I see winemine!? How do I get this thing to work?
Could this be because I am using amd64?
Has anyone had success with xmms-winamp before? I don't really want the visualizations, just wan to gett a winamp plug-in called simply surround to work in XMMS.[/url] |

A quick thought: It says it's "looking for WINE include path: /usr/include/wine/windows", which isn't /usr/lib32/wine.
You might like to try copying or symlinking it.
Personally I'm still waiting for an acceptable Linux media player (ie. looks good + has decent media library/aka Winamp5 for Linux) but I think that's a ways off! _________________ What are you, stupid? |

Didnt help, I used ln -sf /usr/include/wine/windows /usr/lib32/wine and I still get an error when trying to run ./configure |
