Does anyone knows what can be causing those errors? I loose internet because of this and i have to do a "/etc/init.d/net.eth0 restart" each time. It seems to happen more often when someone tries to upload stuff on my ftp. here's the ifconfig output:

Code:

eth0      Link encap:Ethernet  HWaddr 00:E0:29:1D:9A:5D
          inet addr:192.168.0.136  Bcast:192.168.0.255  Mask:255.255.255.0
UP BROADCAST NOTRAILERS RUNNING MULTICAST  MTU:1500  Metric:1
          RX packets:731153 errors:9165 dropped:188 overruns:245 frame:2
          TX packets:494570 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
          collisions:0 txqueuelen:100
          RX bytes:771759146 (736.0 Mb)  TX bytes:35190016 (33.5 Mb)
          Interrupt:7 Base address:0xd000

Dont know if that's related, but sometimes i got kernel messages that says "eth0 : too much work at interupt".

My ethernet card is an smc 1211tx (8139too module).

Thanks

Just a guess but try moving the network card to different pci slots and see what happens. If that doesn't fix it you could try another NIC if you have one.

Ive switch my card into another pci slot but it doesnt help. Could this be that my card is too old (3-4 years old)?

The thing that annoys me is that it never does that on windows. So what could be the problem?
