| right now I'm only seeing [url=www4.ncsu.edu/~zapearsa/slanted-text.png]this[/url] in kmail. It had been doing this in the kde man viewer but I just updated to kde 3.1 yesterday and that seems to have fixed the man viewer. Anybody else seen this/know how to fix it? |

| i saw someone who had the same problem in phoenix, I think it was an Xfree bug.. try a search. |

| I think it was a problem with freetype. I had the problem about 6 weeks ago, I think upgrading to 2.1.3 fixed it. |

Well I upgraded to freetype-2.3.1-r2. That didn't make any difference. I've searched quite a bit and haven't found any reference to this problem. Maybe I just haven't used the proper magic words yet.  |
