PPC64 (G5), stage 1 or 2 (tried both for a couple of reasons), during emerge --emptytree system step, while compiling libstdc++-v3-3.3.4/work/gcc-3.3.4/libiberty/physmem.c, I get a number of errors and warnings. The errors are:
Code: |
...physmem.c:96: error: storage size of 'pss' isn't known
...physmem.c:200: error: storage size of 'pss' isn't known
...physmem.c:201: error: storage size of 'psd' isn't known

I think I'm going to try stage-3 because the CFLAGS optimizations I was interested in trying, ("-mcpu=970 -mtarget=970 -maltivec -mabi=altivec") wind up causing a different, earlier problem, but any explanation might be nice, and useful to others or to me later (see my April 26th post: https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-27486-postdays-0-postorder-asc-start-75.html). |
