Hi people!
I have gcc compiled on x86 with support only x86 platform, but now i have new CPU - amd64 and therefore i need gcc that can compliling code for x86 and amd64 platform. This needed for copile new kernel and all other programs for amd64.
And somebody have complite manual about migrate gentoo from x86 to amd64 platform.
P.S.: sorry, i whery bad speek on english |

Hello,
As I have understanding you need to re-install gentoo completely ... you can't "switch" to this new architecture, sorry
Apparently you go to a lot of compatibility problems in emerging the gcc-glibc-binutils packages, for example compile binutils 64 bits with gcc 64 bits and the installed binutils are 32 bits go to brake your system ...
If anybody have a solution I'm interested !!!
