I'm working on my Chembook 2056 laptop (aka Compal CL56 and a dozen other names). This laptop has a smart card reader built-in that handles several different formats, but the only one that matters to me is the SD card. I use SD cards in my camera and my Palm Pilot, I need to swap information back and forth.

I'm using the WBSD patches found here:
http://projects.drzeus.cx/wbsd/

By following the instructions there, I am able to mount my card reader and view the contents of the card, but only as root. If I try to look at the mountpoint as a user, I get "permission denied" errors. I have tried to chown and chmod the mountpoint and its contents but no luck there.

I can run this as root if need be, it accomplishes the purpose...but that's not the way it should be and I'd rather not make it so difficult. Can anyone suggest a solution?
