I've searched and done what was suggested in this thread with no luck.
In Kcontrol the camera is set up and functioning properly, now how do I access it in konqueror? Any help would be great as I have some issues with gtkam. |

Have you thought about trying Digikam?
It's the KDE frontend to gphoto2 instead of gtkam. |

If i m not mistaken, from konqueror you can access ur digital camera with the prefix 'camera://'. I remeber I could use mine (Powershot A20) inside konqueror.
But to get some serious work done with ur cam, i ll recommend going with digikam as pete46 suggested. |

Just wanted to thank you both for the quick replies. camera:/ ! I couldn't find that anywhere... screenshots I saw displayed gphoto:/ in the address bar which didn't work. And I didn't know about digikam, emerged it - great program! Less quirks than gtkam. Still it seems gphoto2 doesn't support my camera too well (Olympus D460Z) as it still fails to save the first picture unless you retry it real quick when it fails (says something about camera rejected the request) I can live with it though.
Thanks again.. I love these forums. |

I don't have my KDE machine at home right now but I tried a KDE 3.1 beta and it still only supported the old gphoto1 (gpio) library. It compiled but I had problems getting it working. You might want to check the KDE bug list or ask one of the KDE developers if it has been updated for gphoto2. |
