For some reason, FreeAmp now seg faults instead of running. I had it running for some time. I did notice that my desktop "flashed" if you will. After that, my settings went away. The top panel was back after I had removed it. The bottom panel was larger and missing some icons that I'd put on it (and the clock was gone). When i exited and restarted X is when I realized freeamp wasn't working. Rebooting didn't help... any ideas? |

Clean out your config? This worked for me when xmms began acting flaky...

Jim | Clean out what config? I'm assuming you mean something to do with portage, but not sure. |

i think he means a freeamp user config (ive never used freeamp so im not sure but maybe .freeamp or .freeamp/config), but i relate to the xmms seg fault because of a config.
recently a font name changed on my system, which was used by a plugin (that was enabled on load and tried to use the old font name) but there was no error message to tell me this was the reason, just the program not starting.
i would back up your current preferences, then remove and see if the program will start then. that will at least help the trouble shooting. _________________ magoo |

I think FreeAmp (or my compiled version) is buggy. There isn't a config file, but there is a preferences file. I removed it, that seemed to help, but the program still seems flaky. |
