Check out fetchmail - easy to use; it basically goes out, downloads your mail from a POP or IMAP server to your machine, where you can read it with whatever you want.
It's in portage. (emerge fetchmail)
I use it all the time. _________________ http://www.dataswamp.net |

You really won't need one; just look at the man page for it. It's not anywhere near the complexity of something like sendmail. _________________ http://www.dataswamp.net |
