emerge gvim-6.1-r6 fails

emerge -u is failing because of what looks like a perl dependency. I see errors about undefined symbols: e.g., Perl_Gthr_key_ptr

Any ideas? I ran env-update first.

What version of perl are you using? Did you compile perl with thread support? If yes I think that might be the problem, you can try emerging perl with out thread support.
