Hi,

I successfully installed gentoo (not the first time) for running apache, mysql etc on it

The problem is that i cant see png images with apache2.

i emerged apache and all the stuff and of course libpng, but ...no access.
phpinfo said:

application how mrtg shows graphs, but awstats dont and also gbgraph1 or gbgraph2 dont.
smokeping is the next service which shows no PNG data.

You can edit your original post and erase all that eix info, its a mess with those formatting codes and doesn't help with anything.

Can you post the output of

emerge php -pv


You probably didn't compile the right support when you compiled php or another package you are using.

And can you define better what "doesn't display png images" means?
Are you referring to a specific web page you are serving? (a specific web package, aka something like webmail)
