getmail help

ok guys heres the prob

i am trying to access my email at pop.Phreaker.net but when i try to do it i just get:
> getmail started for meth0d@pop.Phreaker.net:110
> Socket error ((113, 'No route to host'))
> Resetting connection and aborting (Socket error ((113, 'No route to host'))

i can ping sites and ssh into another machine ...i have no firewall set up yet so i know it cant be something like that..i have tried to access it with kmail and it just wont connect to the pop3 server and i have NO idea why..i have also tried to telnet to it but it just says:

Trying 204.57.55.36...
telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: No route to host

here is my getmailrc file just incase something is wrong that i didnt see:

BTW: i am on 56k and i have no routers or nothing sooooooooo......

Can you use pop3 from inside windows?

Some ISPs have their own proxies and firewalls set up blocking some things from you.

yes i can

i accessed it on my wifes win98 machine in outlook and it was fine there

i also have 2 pop3 accounts from diffrent places and i get the same errors with both..so i doubt its thier servers blocking me or anything cuz surly one would work
