TO FIX CEDEGA SEGFAULTS ON LOVE

I tried 2.6.12-rc2 the day it came out and Teamspeak would segfault with it. Is this affecting anyone else, or should I give it a go again?

Also, fallow, could you include that BADRAM patch in love-sources? I'm poor and I've got 4 addresses in my 1gb of ram thats bad. I dont feel like buying new ram, and I dont know if its covered under warranty.

anyway --

is there any chance someone could port this patch to 2.6.12-rc2-love? I cannot seem to get it to work... i've already spent a couple hours (and i've never done this before).

ran the memtest AGAIN and now i have no errors. i think it was a fluke.

Thanks again fallow! I´m running this one with JFS as / and ricer4 on /usr/portage, and everything runs smooth as usual.
BTW, I have tried several other patchsets, and love-sources, gives me better interactivity always.

jsut upraded to alsa-1.09-rc2, on this kernel.......now i am getting sound stutter in xmms, which didn't happen in love b4 ever......any solutions??? other than downgrading alsa. also i don't have stutters in xine ever.....so is there any other player i could use?

In 2.6.12_rc2 my pc hangs everytime I try to startx. It's strange since I used the same .config options I did for rc1 wich worked flawlessly. Could someone help me out? I need rc2 for the fglrx module (for my ati card). Cheers,

X is running at 0 nice and the scheduler i am using is staircase. I just can't figure out the pain
with xmms.

I have been running Reiser4 with 2.6.8-nitro sources since many weeks without any problems. Because I decided to switch to udev I was looking around for kernel sources. Now my machine is running 2.6.12-rc2-love1.

But I'm not very happy yet. My machine (dual-PIII) hangs many times. Mostly when there is heavy ide-disk activity (i.e emerge mozilla-firefox) with high CPU Load, my KDE desktop (3.3.1) freezes. At this time no more mouse, keyboard or LIRC access is possible.
But my VDR (using 2*DVB-S) is runnig fine in the background.

Can't find anything in /var/log/everything/...

Any hint's?

Why do you people post your entire config files! :evil:

Next time, make use of grep. For example, to give some idea of what schedulers and scheduling options you have compiled into your kernel, try cat /usr/src/linux/.config | grep SCHED, instead of wasting forum space.
