The graphics look really nice. Its a strategy game. Seems like something the Linux community has been dying for.
There is a free demo available, allthough I havent yet tried it. |

The game looks cool but this is all I get when I try to run it:
Code: |
LOADER: Starting from directory gamedata/data-1
Starting game...
********** Running tt **********
Writing log files in /home/eoin/tmp/tribaltrouble/logs/1112387993066
Found 6 OpenAL paths

Testing '/home/eoin/tmp/tribaltrouble/jre1.5.0_02/lib/i386/libopenal.so'
Testing '/home/eoin/tmp/tribaltrouble/jre1.5.0_02/../lib/i386/libopenal.so'
Testing '/home/eoin/tmp/tribaltrouble/gamedata/data-1/native/.svn/text-base/libopenal.so.svn-base'

Then it just sits there and eats up my proc until I force kill it. Very goofy. |

Using Ati Radeon mobility 9000 with the kernel (not ati's) drivers, it runs great. I've only made it through a couple tutorials, but already I'm considering buying the game, if only to support developers who make cross platform games. The only glitch (and it's probably because of my drivers) I've noticed so far is that when it says things should be high-lighted in green, they're not. No too big of deal, and I might just submit a bug report and see what happens.
Thanks for pointing out this game. |

Probably your vid drivers doing that. I've got an nvidia card and everything works fine. Can't change the resolution though.
ecoffey, do you have opengl working? Do other 3D games work? |

On the oddlab forums it says to just edit the settings file and modify the view_height and view_width. I changed my to 1280x1024 without problems. |

It is a really cute little game (written in Java no less!) but I'm not sure that there's enough variety to pay $25 for it. Oh, and after a few hours, I suddenly got the lockup on loading mentoined by ecoffey. It went away when I rebooted. Very bizarre. |

Great... Thanks a lot. As if I didn't waste enough time
Pretty cool. It reminds me a little of Age of Empires. |

Yeah, OpenGL works fine. I just finished playing a quick match of GLest
It seems like its having problems with OpenAL, and its finding a lib in the hidden svn directory, which might be broken? I don't know. |

Having the same problem as ecoffey here. UPDATE: I tried deleting the libopenal.so.svn-base and it now tries to use the system openal.so, but it still stalls there, so it seems it's not a problem with OpenAL. |

for 25 bucks, this game doesnt look too good (the maps and the theme is just too continious.. nothing excited), just another strategy, u can just get an old windows game thats better (like starcraft) and pay 5 bucks for cedega
if this was free though, this game would be awesome:P |

Looks pretty nice, I'll need to spend a bit more time with it though. |
