Need help with Marvell Yukon NIC

Dear friends from the Gentoo Forum,

I'm having some trouble trying to install Gentoo into my computer. I've been using Fedora for a long time, but I was having problems trying to configure my SATA HD. Some friends convinced me to use Gentoo, and here I am.
I bought a computer little time ago and it's specifications follows:

Pentium 4 2.8 Ghz - socket 775
Asus P5GDC Deluxe
HD Seagate 80.0 Gb SATA
Marvell Yukon 88E8053 1.0 Gbit LAN - PCI-E in Asus MB

The SATA drive seems to work perfectly, in ACHI mode. Congratulations to Gentoo.

Well, I've searched everywhere into the forum and a lot of people had problems with this NIC. The solution to this is to load a sk98lin driver (module) and compile the kernel.
My problem is that I downloaded the minimal LiveCD and it boots ok, leaving me at the shell, telling me that the next step I should do is to configure the NIC. I don't have any idea of how to proceed since it does not find my Marvell card. If it was found, I could download stage1 image and keep going the install.
modprobe sk98lin does not work, and net-setup or ifconfig don't work either.
Can anyone help me?
