|
|
Hi all!
I´m a newbie - I have installed Gentoo (I think exactly from the install-manual) but when I boot Gentoo I get this messages:
* Mounting /proc.... [oops]
* The "mount" command failed with error:
mount point /proc does not exist
* Since this is a critical task, startup cannot continue.
Give root password for maintenace
What can I do, and how, to solve this problem?
Thanks in advance (and sorry for my bad english ) |

Thanks for the very fast answer!!
The problem was the when I give the root password I havn´t write permission on the system.
Now I have booted from the LiveCD and create the dir. The boot-process works now (with any other problems - eht and so on but I hope I can solve this, othersite I will post again ).
Thank you very mutch!! |
