The hdparm man page referes to ATA/IDE drives but I find nothing about SATA. Is there another pgm I should be using instead?
Note: Running hdparm -tT /dev/sda does gives Code: | /dev/sda:
Timing cached reads: 1680 MB in 2.00 seconds = 838.87 MB/sec
HDIO_DRIVE_CMD(null) (wait for flush complete) failed: Inappropriate ioctl for device
Timing buffered disk reads: 48 MB in 3.12 seconds = 15.38 MB/sec
HDIO_DRIVE_CMD(null) (wait for flush complete) failed: Inappropriate ioctl for device |

hdparm does not support scsi drives yet, so you won't be able to use it for sata drives...
so basically... the errors you're seeing are normal... |
