Greetings,
Have KDE 3.1 RC6 w/samba installed and I am able to see windows shares using smb:// syntax. When attempting to browse lan with lan://localhost I get an error stating that the lisa daemon was not started. I have verified it is indeed started and attempted startup via:
1. rc-update add lisa default
2. adding "lisa start" to /etc/conf.d/local.start
Both attempt yield the same lan browsing in konquerer.
Any idea??
Many thanks. |

Code: | rc-update add lisa default |
just starts lisa every time you boot,if you did not reboot in the meantime lisa is not running.
If you want to start it manually run(as root):
Code: | /etc/init.d/lisa start |
|

No -- it's running as I have indeed rebooted, and if I do a "lisa start", I get an error that the port is busy (already running). |
