Hi,

after about 2 days i got WarCraft 3 to run. It runs quite smoothly, but i have no sound. Tried several sound driver (oss, alsa, kernel) and several winexxx.drv modules (winearts.drv, winealsa.drv and wineoss.drv) but it doesn't work. Does anybody know how to play WarCraft with sound?

for me it runs without sound problems. I'm using kernel sound with a cs46xx sound chip and winex-cvs.
However ingame I can't use the grouping hotkeys.

I use a winex-cvs with quartz, vanilla kernel and cs46xx sound.

What sound module did you choose in the wine config? Looks like this in my config:

[WinMM]
"Drivers" = "winearts.drv"
"WaveMapper" = "msacm.drv"
"MidiMapper" = "midimap.drv"

Works without problems if you define a desktop :o).

from my config
[WinMM]
"Drivers" = "wineoss.drv"
"WaveMapper" = "msacm.drv"
"MidiMapper" = "midimap.drv"

[wineoss]
"UseMMap" = "Y"
"FullDuplex" = "N"

BTW: thanks for the tip with the desktop - group makros work like a dream now :)
