I had the same problem and I get no idea how to fix this.
I don't think they'll suport this version of DRI until Xfree 4.3.0 is out.
ATI is not even capable to release satisfying drivers for an official Xfree release... |

Well, I combined xfree 4.2.99.3 with dri+xvideo patch for mach64 (I use Rage Pro Mobility) and everything works fine. (I have DRI support and XVideo capability)
Have a look at http://www.retinalburn.net/linux/dri_xv.html
What I did:
1. ebuild xfree4.2.99.3.ebuild unpack
2. manually check the difference between code from cvs.dri.sf.net and copy mach64 code to /var/tmp/portage/xf..../work/xc/... (drivers and drm module)
3. apply patch from the above site
4. ebuild xfree4.2.99.3.ebuild compile
5. ebuild xfree4.2.99.3.ebuild install
6. ebuild xfree4.2.99.3.ebuild qmerge
That's it. |
