(I don't think this is an exact dupe of any thread (I checked this time) but forgive me if it is)
I have apple's X11 server installed and running but when I try to emerge mrxvt it claim that I don't.
Code: |
checking for a BSD-compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c
checking how to run the C preprocessor... gcc -E
checking for X... no
configure: error: Mrxvt requires the X Window System libraries and headers.
!!! Please attach the config.log to your bug report:
!!! /var/tmp/portage/mrxvt-0.3.13-r1/work/mrxvt-0.3.13/config.log
!!! ERROR: x11-terms/mrxvt-0.3.13-r1 failed.
!!! Function econf, Line 485, Exitcode 0
!!! econf failed
|
Any tips appreciated

You need to have Apple's Developer Tools installed with the X11 SDK in order to compile any X software.
Do you have '/usr/X11R6/include/X11/X.h' on your system? If not then you haven't installed the X11SDK (part of Dev Tools).
If you do, then ignore my post |
