a default config is copied over in the event one does not current exist in /usr/src/linux. Default is, surprisingly, named defconfig and located in the architecture specific directory tree. E.g., for i386 compatible platforms, it is /usr/src/linux/arch/i386/defconfig.
If you simply "make menuconfig" then the .config file would have been created, you could have then just exited the "make menuconfig" script, saving or not-saving the created .config file. _________________ Someone told me that "..they only ever made one mistake...."
...and that's when they said they were wrong!! |
