After a new install of gentoo I tried "emerge gcombust" and got "emerge: there are no ebuilds to satisfy "gcombust"." Why has Gcombust been omitted from portage? In my less than humble opinion (IMLTHO) gcombust is the easiest cd/dvd burner program available. Failing a return of Gcombust what options do i have for an easy to use program?

https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=160175#c3 shows why it was removed.

Graveman could be an alternative.

Crikey Mark you're on the ball :-) . Once again thanks for the link. Tried Graveman, good alternative but my first attempt to burn a bootable iso failed. I may even have to read the manual to get it right. You're a Melbourne bloke.. I'm only a 100 miles away. Are there any future meets for Gentoo folk in Australia's most sophisticated city?

Yes, I am going to try to have a Gentoo miniconf at linux.conf.au 2008 in Melbourne. Watch the website linked in my profile for any information, and subscribe the mailing list so you won't miss out on news.
