|
|
Hi! I tried to install Gentoo. I Inserted the livecd and while booting the following message appeared on the screen:
"Signal out of Range"
and after 20seconds the screen turned off.
The booting procedure continued, but i couldn't see anything because the screen was off. i tried to turn it on again, but the same message appeared and the screen went off again.
i suspect there is a problem with the screen resolution or frequency.
Is there a way i can "tell" Gentoo to use the screen resolution 800x600 (or even 640x480) while booting from the livecd?
Thanx! |

when you boot the live CD, I think there is the F2 and F3 keys that shows what options you can pass at boot, look in both of those I believe you can specify it with an option in there. |
