Install "Bug" in 1.1a iso

I recently posted this question to the newbies list:

with regards to installing from the gentoo-i686-1.1a.iso.
I decided to try the gentoo-ix86-1.1a.iso which proceded to let me install gentoo.

It would appear too me that the gentoo-i686-1.1a.iso may possibly need a fix for some people too install from it.

hmm, the only idea i would have is that you dont have an i686 archirtecture (PIII or above IIRC). I have used that .iso with no problems before.

On the box it said it was designed for Win XP or better, so why won't it work with Linux?

You won't be able to install with 1.1 anymore - the rsync setup changed.

Moved from Bugs to Installing Gentoo. Problem is with installing from the CD.
