|
|
I get this when I use DVDrip to read the ToC of my DVD for ripping:
Code: | Job 'Probing - title #1' failed.
Executed command: tcprobe -i /dev/dvd -T 1 && echo DVDRIP_SUCCESS
Last output was:
libdvdread: Using libdvdcss version 1.2.3 for DVD access |
Any clues on what is wrong? I re-emerged libdvdcss and libdvdread, but that didn't help. _________________ ~Sarumont

Hi,
I have just had this problem and a quick look at the dvd::rip faq gave me this;
Quote: | 6.2 TOC reading throws Job 'Probing - title #1' failed
Some binary Perl 5.8.0 distributions have a bug (RedHat 8.0 is known to be affected, also newer Slackware releases and Debian sid). You probably can workaround this by setting the environment variable PERLIO=stdio before starting dvd::rip, e.g.
export PERLIO=stdio; dvdrip
Thanks to Ryurick M. Hristev for the hint.

Ahh, the joys of Perl 5.8.0!
Cheers,
Neil. |
