Hi,
I'm looking to buy a cheap 3D card for one of my linux systems. Now Radeon 7000 are cheap. I do not need uber performance. But I don't want to be fiddling with binary drivers (like newer nVidia ATi cards)...
Now can anybody tell me about his experiences with this card using dri for 3D acceleration?
Does it work well? How does it perform? when compared to the same card using Windows or maybe another card you had running in Linux.
Thanks,
Pascal de Bruijn
edit: btw: did the tv-out work? did it require configuration? |

Go with @ least a Radeon 8500 or you won't be able to use the ati-drivers.
I recommend a chaep 9x00 series card that suits your needs (vga,dvi,tvout.....) |
