zsnes emerges fine, but when I try to run it, I just get "Illegal instruction" when I try to run it. What can I do to to get more information about what's failing?

I'm on the 2005.0 profile, and I synced and updated world yesterday. I checked this thread: https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-198057-highlight-zsnes.html but nobody seemed to have the same problem.

Thanks in advance for any help.

The output of emerge --info might be helpful.

Please post the output of the following two commands:
Code:
# emerge --info
Code:
# cat /proc/cpuinfo

You're not using 2005.0 you're using 2004.3 check your emerge info. maybe you've missed some steps while moving from 2004 to 2005

I get the same error, "Illegal instruction" when running zsnes.
Here is my output from emerge --info and cat /proc/cpuinfo

I'm running Gentoo on my Athlon64 X2 3800+ through VMWare and I'm getting the "Illegal Instruction" error too. No idea what's causing it. Compiles without errors or warnings but refuses to start or accept any command line switches either.
