GTK+ 2.2.0 for me is SUPER SLOW!

I love the new GTK+2, but for some reason it is really slow. It only seemed to happen though, after i updated to gnome 2.1.5, and only effects gtk+ 2 apps. Kopete and all my other qt apps run just fine. Everything from moving desktop icons to moving windows jumps my CPU to 80+%. Normally it is under 25% for qt and GTK+ 1 apps.

any ideas? im gonna remerge gtk+ and see what that does.

EDIT: the program themselves arent too slow, its just when they are moved or involve drag'n'drop.
