Please go right ahead. Anyone who spouts out something as boneheaded as that should not reproduce under any circumstances.

GO OUTSIDE AND MAKE SOME FRIENDS

Life isn't all money and coding. If you don't have any personal relationships you really have no point in living.

Come on, let's be fair. Look man, you're 18. When I was 18 I thought i knew i had my life figured out, and what i wanted and shit.. (although not as strange as what you're mentioning..) but i'm telling you right now, there's a lot to figure out after 18. The mind matures until you're about 22-23, and I think eventually you'll figure out that these thoughts are a little bit drastic, and not exactly what you want.

If you don't believe me, get out more (instead of living in a fuckin' box) and meet someone you really like, and i think you might find out that this isn't exactly what you want. It's really easy to disregard this post as the dumbest thing ever, and i think that's rightfully so. I think you just need to get the hell out, meet people, and you'll realize what life is really about. Good luck buddy.

No, there are no health benefits to not castrating yourself.

well, no physical health benefits, there are plenty of mental health benefits. 8)

I'm not sure if the "not" in the last post was intentional or not, but there probably can be some mental health benefits, although I seriously doubt that mystic0 is of the type that would benefit.

I seriously considered it some years back when I was having "gender issues," and did a fair amount of reading on the subject. Couple of things to consider:

You will almost certainly put on loads of weight.
You will have some really severe personality changes - testosterone affects how you think a lot more than you realise, especially in someone barely down off the wave of puberty. The fact that you apparently "masturbate all day" probably means this would affect you short-term, and badly. Someone who controls their male-ness with willpower or females hormones would suffer much longer - hence a lot of the mental health problems suffered by transgendered people.

The short of it, testosterone (and the rest) are a drug, that almost every male over 13 on the planet is terminally addicted to. Do you really want to go cold-turkey from a 5+ year addiction?

Disclaimer:
IANAD, and I have no sources to back most of this opinion up. But as I don't see anyone else giving a sensible response, I threw in my $0.02

Think of it this way. The purpose of any organism is to reproduce and die. After castration what are you left with?

basically, the percieved benefit is unproven at best, but there are both definite downsides, and depending on how you go about it, considerable risks as well

Absolutely nothing and if you live in a box for the rest of your life you've just wasted the limited amount of time you've had on this earth. Unless you're firmly committed to the idea of an afterlife I would suggest not limiting yourself in any way in this life. Castrating yourself so you can be a fully committed wage slave for the rest of your life is throwing your life away.

I'm unsure of the whys and wherefors of the weight gain, and I can't remember now where I read it. It'll either be due to the body producing extra of some other hormone to make up, or a side-effect due to the loss of a big chunk of your natural motivation
