In the handbook for sparc systems, it says (concerning the root partition):
Quote:
Root partition. For all sparc32 systems, and sparc64 systems with older OBP versions, this must be less than 2 GBytes in size, and the first partition on the disk.


What version of OBP solves this limitation of 2GB of maximum size?

It would be great if I could just do a single / partition and a swap. I don't mind that / must be first, either.

Ultra 10 doesn't suffer from that problem.
You can upgrade to the latest OBP too if you want (latest for U5/10 = 3.31.0).
